China's principal state-owned space contractor and the main contractor for the national space programme. Through academies such as CALT and CAST it builds the Long March launch vehicles, satellites, the crewed Shenzhou spacecraft and the Tiangong space station, and runs robotic exploration including the Chang'e lunar missions and the Tianwen deep-space programme, alongside missiles and other defence and civil aerospace systems.
