A publicly traded Japanese lunar-exploration company (Tokyo: 9348) building robotic lunar landers and micro-rovers to deliver customer payloads to the Moon, and pursuing lunar resource exploration including water. Under its HAKUTO-R programme, Mission 1 (2023) and Mission 2 'RESILIENCE' (2025) both fell short at landing. ispace holds a NASA agreement to sell collected lunar regolith and is developing a larger Apex lander.
