Lacaille 9352
Star
Lacaille 9352 — one of the closest and brightest red dwarfs, 10.7 light-years away in Piscis Austrinus. An M1V star about half the Sun's mass, it is unusually magnetically QUIET for a red dwarf, and it hosts a compact family of four confirmed planets found from its radial-velocity wobble.

- Name
- Named for the French astronomer Nicolas-Louis de Lacaille and its number in his 1763 southern-sky catalogue. It is also GJ 887.
Recorded by Nicolas-Louis de Lacaille in his catalogue of southern stars (published 1763), as entry 9352. It has the sixth-largest proper motion of any star. In 2020 the RedDots/HARPS team announced two planets (b, c); two more (d, e) were confirmed in 2026 by Hartogh et al.
