Discovery & history

Name
A catalogue designation - the 1061st entry in Max Wolf's list of high-proper-motion stars; also GJ 628.

Cataloged by Max Wolf in the early 20th century, this nearby red dwarf was found in 2015 to host three planets by a team using ESO's HARPS spectrograph, which measured the tiny wobble the planets induce in the star's light.
